On November 2, 2011 the Matata Foundation has been notified by WNH that a donation of € 3,600.00 was allocated for the purchase of 34 bicycles for the Community Health Workers (CHW’s).
With the bikes, 34 CHW’s are now able to offer rapid and appropriate medical and nursing care to the people in the Matata Hospital Oyugis area.
The same day informed by telephone, Dr John Malago responded:
The news for the bicycle grant is wonderful for the CHWs performance and this will enhance their services to the needy in the community.
