Op 2 november 2011 heeft onze Stichting bericht gekregen van de Stichting Wereld Nood Hulp Nederland dat er een donatie van € 3600,00 is toegekend voor de aanschaf van 34 fietsen voor de Community Health Workers (CHW’s).
Met deze fietsen kunnen nu 34 CHW’s sneller en adequater medische hulp en verpleegkundige zorg bieden, aan de mensen in de binnenlanden, rondom het Matata Hospital in Oyugis.
Dezelfde dag heeft de Stichting Matata telefonisch contact gehad met dr. John Malago om hem het goede nieuws te vertellen. Op 3 november ontvingen wij onderstaand mailbericht van dr. John Malago:
