Mevrouw I.M.M. Garthoff, directeur van het Nederlandse Rode Kruis, District Haarlem en Omstreken heeft de Stichting Matata vandaag laten weten dat het bestuur op 21 september 2011 in vergadering besloten heeft een bedrag van
€ 19.750 te doneren.
Deze genereuze donatie is bestemd voor:
- aanschaf van een nieuwe generator voor het Matata Hospital;
- aanschaf van een emercency trolly = reanimatiekar voor de nieuwe kinderafdeling van het Matata Hospital;
- extra watertank voor de Tala Dispensary.
Dr. John Malago is meteen door Jacqueline van Hoorn, voorzitter van de Matata Stichting telefonisch op de hoogte gebracht en zij ontving onderstaand bericht van hem.

It is really a bright morning for Matata Hospital and Tala that Matata will not suffer anymore darkness for at least ten years to come and Tala dispensary will never miss water for the patients and staff. It is wonderful and great news and that is what made me to open a computer very early today if there could be any news following the missed call I found from you this morning.
We are very very happy and thanks the Board and director of the Haarlem Red Cross, Irene Garthoff, as well as the entire Red Cross Haarlem branch for such a generous and humanitarian support they have done to us.
