5th TO 12th AUGUST 2011

During my visit I had a wonderful experience in all areas.

Socially I enjoyed interacting with every body as all of the people I met were all warm welcoming and I did not realise at one time that I was in a strange country, I also had maximum care from the Matata Foundation board members who were my host, all offices I visited the next question after greeting I was receiving was whether I was taking Tea or coffee.
I had a chance to visit a protestant church on Sunday of 7th August 2011 during my visit and I received a warm welcome from Church members and the Pastor. The only unusual thing I experience was the absence of the youths and the young people in the church which was unlike in our country where youths participate actively on church programs.

On my visit to several hospitals in the Netherlands I realised that the standard of care is very high and the qualifications of the medical staffs were highly commendable and also unlike our country girls are highly educated compared to the number of men. The Technology has also advanced so much in comparison to what we are still doing in our country. It was also noted that the government has put a lot investment in the health care for its citizen to get the best care, also noted is the team work of all healthcare personnel l where a doctor is not only managing a patient on his on but can also consult online and be helped if necessary.

Otherwise I had a very nice session and several meetings with the donors, the members of the Recommending Committee and the Board members.
