Samen met twee donors, die anoniem wensen te blijven hebben de bestuursleden, Jacqueline van Hoorn en Hanne Hulshuizen-Verdonk, van de Stichting Matata Children Hospital Kenya tijdens hun werkbezoek in oktober 2009 het district Angino bezocht. Angino is moeilijk te bereiken daar het ver in het binnenland ligt en de bevolking is erg arm.
In 2004 is men gestart met de bouw van de Tala Dispensary, geld ontbreekt voor de afbouw.
Deze bovenstaande situatie was voor de meereizende donors aanleiding om geld te schenken voor de afbouw en inrichting van de Tala Dispensary. Dokter Malago van het Matata Hospital zal de supervisie van de afbouw en de inrichting van deze kliniek voor zijn rekening nemen.
De donors hebben op 13 oktober de leefgemeenschap van Angino zelf ingelicht over hun donatie, de vreugde over deze donatie was niet te beschrijven. Het geld is inmiddels door de donors, via de Stichting Matata overgemaakt aan het Matata Hospital.
Op maandag 21 december schreef Dr. Malago:
Today was a wonderful day for Angino Community when they realised their dream by having their new dispensary opened officially by all the area leaders, Ministry of Health Officials, Member of Parliament of Kasipul Kabondo and all the counselors of the area.
I received showers of praises on behalf of Matata Foundation and the donators. I was even given aram by the community to eat during christmas for work well done.
We have now also narrowed down to give the bicycles tomorrow to the CHWS and I will send you the pictures
